The following grants are being offered for 2025-2026:
Arts For Everybody Community Project Grant
Arts For EveryBody Community Project Grants were designed to build upon the momentum of the national initiative One Nation One Project/Arts For EveryBody, which assessed how arts improved mental wellbeing in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. In the spirit of Arts For EveryBody, these grant funds will support artist-led and/or community-based projects that foster art participation and improve healthier communities through arts and culture. Eligible applicants can apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $35,000.

General Operating Support Grant
General Operating Support Grants provides unrestricted support to organizations demonstrating artistic and organizational excellence through high quality programs and services. This program recognizes organizations with strong administrative stability, fiscal responsibility and an established record of programmatic service to Forsyth County. Arts and Culture organizations are eligible to apply for grants ranging from $10,000 to $35,000. No minimum operating budget is required.

Multicultural Grassroots Arts Grants
Multicultural Grassroots Arts Grants provides programmatic support to organizations demonstrating artistic excellence and has a mission that reflects African American, Asian American, Latin American, or Native American cultures. This grant is supported by the North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts Program and recognizes multicultural organizations with an established record of arts programs and services to Forsyth County. Arts and Culture organizations that meet the multicultural requirement below are eligible to apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $35,000.

Wells Fargo Arts-in-Education Grant
The Wells Fargo Arts-In-Education Grant connects artists and arts organizations with elementary, middle and high school students, by funding programs designed to awaken their intellectual and creative curiosity. Some funding is available for artists to conduct programs in private and charter schools. Additional support is provided by Flow Automotive Companies, the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System and the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. Arts Council is the largest funder of arts education in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System.

PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITIES
6TH/CHERRY/TRADE PARKING DECK MURAL
Deadline for all application: October 24, 11:59 PM
The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County (WS|FC) Public Art Commission is seeking an artist or artist team to design and install a mural on the 6th-Cherry-Trade Parking Deck in downtown Winston-Salem. The budget is between $75,000 and $100,000, depending on the extent of the proposed design. Applications are due by Friday, October 24 at 11:59 PM.

PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITIES
RFQ MLK JR. COMMUNITY CENTER MURAL
Deadline for all application: October 24, 11:59 PM
The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Art Commission is seeking an artist or artist team to design and install a large-scale mural on the exterior of the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in the Boston-Thurmond neighborhood.
Boston-Thurmond is a historically Black residential neighborhood north of downtown Winston-Salem and the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center acts as a hub for neighborhood activity, attracting residents of all ages. The community center hosts line dancing classes, cyber clubs, summer camps, and so on. Teens and kids come to play volleyball and basketball indoors or cross the street to play at the neighborhood pool during the summer. People can also enjoy the walking trails and exercise equipment outside.
The Community Center mural will become a focal point for the area. Committee members want to ensure there is a great amount of community participation in the creation of the mural to ensure long-term buy-in.

You’ll discuss pricing for your artwork or art services, wholesale vs. retail pricing, how to identify productive hours and how to approach pricing to achieve a desired income level from your work. The class will work through pricing using a business case study and the details of pricing You will leave with a method to price your work, including a downloadable file that can be used when pricing your own work. Optimizing Your Online Presence for Artists and Crafters

Are you an artist who struggles with where to start with creating your website? Are you struggling with finding other ways to show your brand online but are unsure where to start?
Join Cami Leisk in this seminar where she’ll walk you through these questions and more.
Define the main pillars of a successful website,
Demystify SEO (search engine optimization), and
Explore best practices for setting up and maintaining a web shop
At the close of this segment, participants will have a clearer understanding of their next steps towards a vibrant online presence, and the confidence to move forward with tips and tricks in their back pockets. If you've ever wondered how to navigate the world of arts funding, Getting the Grant for Artists and Performers is the workshop for you. Whether you’re a visual artist or a performing artist, this two-hour virtual session will demystify the grant application process and help you feel more confident when pursuing opportunities that can support and sustain your creative work. Led by acclaimed cellist, singer-songwriter, and teaching artist Shana Tucker, this session will walk you through how to read and interpret grant applications, submission best practices, and creative ways to help your application stand out from the rest. Once a year, the Associated Artists of Winston-Salem (AAWS) furnishes the Main Gallery of Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts for a highly competitive juried exhibit called ARTIST SPOTLIGHT. This exhibition showcases recent bodies of 2-D and 3-D work from a select number of AAWS members. Monetary awards will be given to the winners of First, Second, and Third place.
