Gallery

Arts Council's Main Gallery hosts professionally-curated art exhibitions featuring work by local and national artists. Located on the main floor of the Milton Rhodes Center, the Main Gallery is a dramatic and welcoming space that seamlessly connects the main entrance with the Community Arts Gift Shop and front desk.

The Main Gallery can accommodate 50 guests seated, or up to 200 guests for a standing-room-only event.

The ArtisTree

At the center of the gallery is a stunning installation called The ArtisTree which functions as a circular bench for patrons, and adds a sense of warmth and wonder to the space. Brought to life by two local creative enterprises, The ArisTree was designed by architectural firm STITCH Design Shop and constructed onsite by Sunnyside Millwork during the 2019 transformative renovation of the Milton Rhodes Center.

Associated Artists Gallery

As the home exhibition gallery for juried works by members of Associated Artists of Winston-Salem, the Associated Artists Gallery is a veritable “canvas of the community”. Located on the main level of the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, the gallery extends from the vestibule of Reynolds Place Theatre and curves around to the base of the spiral stair. Its unique location and shape make the Associated Artists a de facto “art in unusual places” venue. Patrons of Reynolds Place Theatre, Sawtooth, the Community Gift Shop and other Milton Rhodes Center destinations are likely to find themselves pleasantly exposed to an unexpected curated exhibition of works by local artists.
