FUSE Makers Market
Bringing community and art together to build authentic connection.

FUSE Makers Market is an annual outdoor event created by the Metal Mavens; a trio of makers and friends collaborating to bolster artists and creative careers by facilitating dialogue, making connections, strengthening communities, and generating opportunities.
Aligned with their mission, Tavia Brown, Erica Stankwytch Bailey and Annie Grimes Williams, partner and collaborate with the North Carolina Museum of Art, Winston-Salem, (formerly SECCA), to host the market on the historic grounds of Hanes House. Along with a community of 49 artists exhibiting at FUSE, this one day show will also feature local food trucks and have hands-on experiences with collaborating local businesses and organizations, such as The ArtShac and Mixxer.
This year’s market will be held rain or shine on May 3rd, 2025 from 10am-5pm along the cobblestone path and surrounding area of the North Carolina Museum of Art, Winston-Salem, located at 750 Marguerite Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
“FUSE is truly top tier. Every person who entered my space was all about the art whether they made a purchase or had an engaging conversation with me.” said one participating artist.
It is through community and collaboration that the Metal Mavens are able to activate spaces, connecting artists and patrons thus building a culture of support for their artists.
A variety of mediums along with a great mix of materials will be on display from the exhibiting makers of FUSE, within which the audience will have the opportunity to meet both emerging and established artists. In addition, 40% of the participating artists this year are local to the Winston-Salem area, and 38% are new to FUSE. It is an integral part of the vision of the Metal Mavens to have FUSE Makers Market pair the familiar with the fresh.
“The venue is perfect for this art show, the turnout was amazing!”, shared another exhibiting artist.
Creating a vibrant experience for their creative community as well as for the local area of Winston-Salem, one resounding piece of feedback from both artists and patrons alike during the 2024 market, was just how wonderful the day was.
“Keep spreading such wonderful energy” was something they have heard over and over again, “it is a REALLY SPECIAL event!”
With strength in collaboration for FUSE, the Metal Mavens are continuing to build, share their mission, and break barriers. The audiences that attend this event are bound to discover something new. You really won’t want to miss it!
