Artist Opportunities | December 2023

OPEN CALL INVITATIONAL 2024

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 11, 2023

As you know, for many years the Delta Arts Center has been committed to showcasing the works of local and regional artists. In addition to our biannual juried invitational exhibitions, we have promoted the work of other North Carolina artists in solo and small group shows. We are always looking for new and innovative artists to show in our gallery.

To that end, we are pleased to announce a call for artists for the “Invitational 2024@ Delta Arts” juried exhibition. We are seeking works of art by African-American artists from North Carolina that showcase the best that our state has to offer. We hope that you will consider submitting a proposal for this exhibition or sending this information to artists you know.

Artists are invited to submit proposals by December 11, 2023. Up to three digital images and an artist statement that addresses the ideas/practice/process of the artist and these particular works (300 words maximum) should be sent via email (with attached jpeg or tiff files). Please identify each image by name of artist, title of work, date created, exact size, and medium in the body of the message.

BROOKRIDGE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY ARTIST CALL

Brookridge is a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Winston Salem. We pride ourselves on our large, wooded campus with 140 Independent Residents and 77 Healthcare Residents. Our goal is to bring joy to our residents with Art.

We would like to start a quarterly showcase of artwork in our Healthcare Facility. We take outside admissions who are only here for a short time. The transition between hospital and home can be difficult. Any way we can put a smile on a resident’s face or remind them of home is our goal. We have a walkway from our lobby to our units that could use an artist's touch. You would be able to sell your pieces as needed. 80% of the sell would go to the artist with 20% going to our Foundation. A quick link will be provided below to showcase our foundation and let you know our reach to the community.

We currently do not have art rails on the halls but can consider any needs as part of the partnership. We look forward to working with you!

Please let me know if you have any questions.
