40+ Stage Company Presents “The Miracle Worker”

APPROXIMATE RUN TIME: 2 hours and 30 minutes with a 15-minute intermission.


Winston-Salem – April 23: 40 Plus Stage Company proudly presents “The Miracle Worker,” directed by Nicholas Zayas.


“The Miracle Worker,” a play by William Gibson tells the true story of Helen Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan. The play is set in 1882 in the Keller’s home in Alabama. Helen, a young girl became deaf and blind after contracting scarlet fever. The play is about the intense struggles between the two as Annie introduces Helen to a world of words.


DATES AND TIMES: Evenings: May 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. and May 4 and 11 at 2:00 p.m.


PLACE: The Second Blooming Stage, The Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness, 114 West 30th Street, (East of Truist Stadium) Winston-Salem, NC, 27105.

PARKING: Convenient free parking is available in the off-street lot near the center entrance.

The Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts will have reduced hours from 1p - 9p on the 22nd and 23rd and will be closed from the 24th through the 4th reopening on the 5th.
