Kernersville Mural Festival featuring Ladies Who Paint is a public event where local women artists come together to celebrate our community by creating large-scale murals on the exteriors of buildings in downtown Kernersville. These artists will be simultaneously live painting, allowing the public to watch the creative process unfold, leaving a public art walk after the event is complete. The Kernersville Mural Festival will amplify the creativity of women in the public art setting while spreading art to the Kernersville community. The festival is organized by local Kernersville mural artist, Christina Parrish. Beyond the festival, these murals will become a lasting cultural landmark, turning the town into a vibrant destination for art lovers and visitors. By supporting this event, sponsors will not only invest in public art but also in community engagement, tourism, and the empowerment of women artists. Join us in bringing art to life and leaving a bold, colorful mark on Kernersville!

About Arts Council's Fiscal Sponsorships
In 2021, Arts Council launched a new service to the community by serving as a fiscal agent for projects that fulfil our mission as the chief advocate of arts and culture in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. A fiscal agent is an established IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that agrees to accept donations on behalf of a group that does not have IRS tax exemption. By serving as a fiscal agent for various local projects, we are better able to support the arts and cultural community by accepting funds on our partner's behalf and granting them back to our partner organization. This gives donors a tax deduction for their gift and helps for us to better fulfil our mission at Arts Council.
