FORSYTH COUNTY ARPA FUNDING

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners earmarked $4.5 million from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to be managed by Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County. These funds will be used to provide aid to the local arts and the cultural sector, including arts and cultural organizations and artist small businesses through new revitalization and expansion of community-based arts programming, arts workforce development programs, and technical assistance.


LEAD SCHOLARSHIP GRANT APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

Applications Due: May 1, 2023


We’re happy to announce the return of the LEAD Scholarship Grant for FY23-24. North Carolina nonprofit arts organizations are eligible to apply for this grant, which will provide funding to attend the Kennedy Center for the Performing Art's 2023 LEAD Conference in Boston, MA, from August 27–31. Grant recipients will also participate in a statewide arts accessibility learning cohort hosted by the N.C. Arts Council in collaboration with Arts Access. If you are interested in applying, please reach out to Kathleen Collier, our accessibility coordinator, by email at Kathleen.Collier@ncdcr.gov. She will send you the information you’ll need to access the application portal. The deadline to apply for this grant is May 1st.

Date: Wednesday, May 31st, 2023

Location: Bailey Park, 575 N. Patterson Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101

Vendor Registration Fee: $25 (Arts Council verified vendors may receive a discounted registration rate) Event Time: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Vendors may begin setting up at 10:00 AM) Rain Date: Friday, June 2nd, 2023

Hosting Auditions in the Spring

The Dash want YOU to be a part of the show! We are looking for local actors and dancers to be a part of the 2023 Dash season. Acting parts and performances will vary. All interested parties must fill out the application below. We will be hosting auditions in the Spring. Be a part of the fun that is Dash baseball!

Artists Thrive helps us see where we are in our work, where we want to go, what is important to measure, and how we can improve in ways that benefit everyone involved. Artists Thrive is meant to be customized, adapted, and applied to many situations to support your work.

Financial assistance to attend this event is available here. Financial assistance requests should be submitted no later than Friday, May 26.
