Gaelynn Lea - Arts and Health


Council Vice President of Grant Programs & Partner Relations, Dara Silver was joined by Gaelynn Lea, American folk singer, violinist, public speaker, disability advocate and Winner of NPR’s 2016 Tiny Desk Award. The previous evening, Gaelynn Lea and The Martha Bassett Show held a Creative Conversation at the Hanesbrands Theatre as part of The Arts Council’s Arts & Health Target Initiative sponsored by Wake Forest Baptist Health and Novant Health.


Gaelynn and Dara discuss the arts and health, as well as Gaelynn's work as a disability advocate and artist.

2025 Holiday Hours:

The Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts will have reduced hours from 1p - 9p on the 22nd and 23rd and will be closed from the 24th through the 4th reopening on the 5th.
