Camp Sawtooth 2024 Artist Instructor

Camp Sawtooth runs for 8 weeks, JUNE 17- AUGUST 9, and offers classes for students aged 6-8, 9-11, and 12-16. We have morning and afternoon classes Monday-Friday, with the morning classes running from 9 am to 12 pm and the afternoon classes from 1 pm to 4 pm. Instructors can select their preferred teaching times and weeks.

At our summer program, we keep our class sizes small, with a maximum of eight students, to ensure individualized attention for each student. We also schedule breaks throughout the day to ensure that students remain refreshed and focused. In each classroom, an intern will provide assistance to the instructors by managing supplies, students, and studio requirements. The instructors are responsible for delegating tasks and communicating with the interns.

As an Artist Instructor, you will play a vital role in facilitating an engaging and educational experience for young students. You will be responsible for creating lesson plans that are both fun and informative, taking into account the interests and skill levels of your students. In addition, you will also be responsible for managing the classroom, ensuring that all students are engaged and on-task while maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment. You will need to be organized and detail-oriented, keeping track of supplies and equipment needed for each lesson. As well as, ensuring studio maintenance and cleanliness. Finally, you will work closely with the Director of Youth Programs to ensure that all aspects of the program are implemented effectively and efficiently.
