Historically, the Organizational Support Grant (“OSG”) program has been an evaluative program that rewarded select organizations that demonstrated artistic and organizational excellence with financial support to assist with their operating and administrative costs.  Eligible applicants were limited by criteria that included size of operations (e.g., annual revenue) and institutional governance protocols.

The Arts Council is currently reassessing the OSG program as part of a strategic review of all grant-making operations.  We expect the OSG program may be revamped – or modified significantly if it is continued—in order to achieve The Arts Council’s strategic objectives.  A principal such objective is ensuring that grants and other direct financial support are appropriately inclusive and impactful with respect to the numerous arts organizations and individual artists who comprise the community’s arts constellation.

The following information relates to the OSG program as it existed before the reassessment.  It is included here for historical perspective only, because the historical eligibility criteria, application forms, review process, etc., described below are likely to change in significant respects.
