  • Organizational Support Grants to support entities like the Winston-Salem Symphony, Authoring Action, and more.

  • Arts Event Sponsorship Grants to support events like the International Black Theatre Festival, Bookmarks Festival and more.

  • Wells Fargo Arts-in-Education Grants to support programs like the Mary Starling Concert for all fifth-grade students across WS/FCS.

  • Special Initiatives, Community Projects, and other Arts and Cultural Opportunities

  • Arts Council facilities including Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, Sawtooth School for Visual Arts, Hanesbrands Theatre, and the Arts Council Extension Building.

  • Facility subsidies for resident companies and arts partners which include more than a 50% discount for area partner groups.

Last year, thanks to your support, we invested $1.2 million of grants and awards across the community. Help us do it again and more in 2024!

Did you know Arts Council is the largest funder of arts education for WS/FCS?

Your contribution to Arts Council brings hands-on arts experiences to thousands of students each year.

The Arts-in-Education Grant connects artists and arts organizations with elementary, middle and high school students by funding programs designed to awaken their intellectual and creative curiosity. In 2024, Arts Council invested $121,000 through this grant program for our public school system.

Thank you for all that you do on behalf of our community!
