Opening Reception for 'Metal Clay Expressions + Elzena Anderson'

Join Sawtooth for a reception celebrating our newest exhibition!

'Metal Clay Expressions,' on view in Sawtooth’s Eleanor and Egbert Davis Gallery, showcases the diverse techniques and possibilities of creating in metal clay. This invitational exhibition features metal clay art by students, attendees, and instructors of the 5th Metal Clay Artists Symposium held at Sawtooth from August 21 to 24, 2025.

The gallery also features a series of paintings celebrating the multiplicity of women by Piedmont Triad-based artist Elzena Anderson.

About Elzena Anderson: Elzena Anderson is an emerging artist, based in the Piedmont Triad. Raised in Virginia, she moved to North Carolina seeking a new adventure. Anderson has been developing her techniques for over 10 years and has evolved into an abstract acrylic painter, creating bold and colorful compositions that span from landscape to figurative. While she continues to experiment making work in various media, including beading and metalsmithing, Anderson relies on painting as her go-to.

Anderson participates in art markets and exhibits in both VA and NC and continues to seek new opportunities to showcase her work.
