Description

The North Carolina Museum of Art - Winston-Salem, is seeking a Communications Manager to support ongoing and new marketing initiatives as the art center seeks to raise brand awareness and reach new audiences across North Carolina and beyond. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing at the North Carolina Museum of Art - Winston-Salem, the Communications Manager will oversee the art center’s multichannel content calendar with an emphasis on social media, email communications, and the website. The manager will assist with marketing forecasting and help track key deadlines and milestones for digital, print and direct mail advertising campaigns. The manager will serve as a creative contributor and thought partner with the Assistant Director of Marketing, helping to ideate new marketing initiatives for exhibitions, education programs, and experiences. While based in Winston-Salem and primarily focused on building the North Carolina Museum of Art - Winston-Salem brand, the manager will also collaborate with marketing colleagues at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh to facilitate greater partnership between the two art organizations. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational and project management skills, ease in writing and editing for a variety of applications, and a keen eye for design and brand standards. This is a grant-funded position from January to December 2024. Proficiencies

  • Project management systems (Podio, Monday, Teamwork, etc)

  • Filesharing systems (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc)

  • Adobe Creative Suite (basic design and layout functions)

  • Email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Prospect2, Salesforce, etc)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in video, photography, animation or design

  • 2–4 years experience in marketing agencies/creative services

Salary Description

$40,000 per year
