NC Black Rep - Bookkeeper

Job description: Seeking a business-minded, details-oriented individual to provide bookkeeping services in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment on a full-time basis. A successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, extraordinary attention to detail and have a positive, solution-oriented attitude. In addition to the Bookkeeping duties, the candidate will play a significant role in managing our Ticketing System.


  • At least Five Years of experience as a bookkeeper

  • At least an Associated Degree in Accounting and or Bookkeeping

  • Proficient in Quick Books Accounting Systems

  • Proficient in Excel Spread Sheet, graphs, and charts

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word

  • Bookkeeping Certifications would be helpful

  • Quick Learner for the Ticket Sales System

  • Computer Proficient

  • Works well with others and is a Team Member

  • Quick Learner with excellent business skills

  • Analytical Skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, positing transactions; ensure legal requirement compliance.

  • Develops system to account for financial transactions by maintaining chart of accounts, defining policies and procedures.

  • Maintains subsidiary ledgers and accounts by verifying allocations and posting transactions.

  • Balances subsidiary ledgers and accounts by reconciling entries.

  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.

  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance, reconciling entries.

  • Maintains historical records by filing documents.

  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounts information and trends.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports management on needed actions.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
