Call for Entries: In partnership with Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County, Triad Cultural Arts is seeking art submissions for an exhibition to commemorate their annual Juneteenth Festival with the theme of Healing Rituals and Traditions. Health and wellness, both individually and for communities, is about being able to flourish and grow. In both arenas, the arts have played a strong role, leading to better care, cost savings, and an increased quality of life. This exhibition will highlight the intersection of health and wellness through arts and culture. Examples of acceptable themed art includes works centered on mental health awareness, body positivity, and art and artifacts focused on healing rituals and community traditions of the African diaspora. Artists from the Piedmont Triad Region (Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point) and surrounding counties are encouraged to submit entries.
How to Enter: Submit up to three art entries to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Juneteenth Exhibition” in the subject line by the entry deadline. Please include your name, address, phone number, and the following information for each art entry: title, medium, dimensions (height x width), and price, if applicable. In addition, each image needs to include the title of the piece and artist name. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional art and artifacts, including photography and recorded performance art, will be considered for the exhibition. For questions, please contact 336-747-1416.
