The Annual Event & Series Grant (AESG) is an evaluative program that supports organizations demonstrating artistic and organizational excellence with financial support for operating and administrative costs. Grants are awarded to arts organizations of all disciplines with annual actual revenues of $150,000 and under that meet high standards in the quality of their programs and services, level of community involvement, administrative capacity and fiscal responsibility.
Eligible Applicants

Organizations that produce arts & cultural programs for the Winston-Salem & Forsyth County community

Organizations' primary residence and/or service area must be in Forsyth County

Organizations must have annual revenue of $150,000 and under or if over, receive permission from the Grant Program Manager to apply

Organizations must be an Arts Council Member Organization with 501c3 or have an Arts Council Member Organization serve as their fiscal agent

Review Process

Arts Council staff will conduct an administrative review of the submitted applications for completeness and compliance with requirements.

The Grant Panel will review all applications prior to the panel meeting. A lead reader from the grant panel will be assigned to each application.

Panel members will evaluate the applications by providing scores and qualitative feedback.

Arts Council staff will compile panelists' scores and make funding recommendations to the

The Arts Council Board of Trustees.

Upon approval of the funding recommendations by the Board, Arts Council Staff will contact applicants to let them know their award amount and grant panel feedback.
Grantee Reporting
Organizations that receive an AESG are required to submit quarterly attendance reports on program statistics, including demographics and financial statements and an annual financial audit or review.
