The 2010-2011 Grant Guidelines and Applications are now available online.  If you are a first time applicant or need assistance during the grant process contact Rebecca Parker, Manager of Funded Partner and Grant Programs at or 336.722.2585.

 

Regional Artist Project and Innovative Project Grants are partly supported by the North Carolina Arts Council with funding from the state of North Carolina and the National Endowment from the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.

 

This year all applications are fillable pdf forms and should be emailed to by the deadline date. You will need the latest version of adobe reader (9.3) to access the guidelines and application forms. The Organizational Support Grant (OSG)

Offers generous financial support to local arts organizations to assist in the day-to-day operations of the organization.  The grant is available to member organizations of The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.

 

If you are new to the Organizational Support Grant process, please set-up a meeting with The Funded Partner and Grants Manager at  ( or 722-2585 ex. 121).

 

 

 
The Arts-In-Education Grant (AIE)

Partners artists with educators, bringing hands-on arts experience to thousands of students each year. The Arts-In-Education Grant connects artists and arts organizations with elementary, middle and high school students, by funding programs designed to awaken their intellectual and creative curiosity. The program is planned and administered in conjunction with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System.  Some funding is available for artists to conduct programs in private and charter schools.

 

Average grant in 2009-2010: $5,500

The Regional Artist Project Grant (RAPG)

Offers support to artists in the local community and region, helping each artist further his or her professional development.  The Regional Artist Project Grant provides financial support to committed, gifted individual artists and small, unincorporated groups of collaborating artists. The grant is awarded to projects that promise to advance the career of the artist or groups of artists in the following disciplines: Music Composition, Film/Video, Literature/Playwriting, Choreography/Dance, and Visual Art/Craft.

 

 

Average grant in 2009-2010:$1,800

Innovative Project Grant (IPG)

Provides funding to support arts organizations for a specific project for the benefit of a wide community audience. The Innovative Project Grant supports projects that are creative and original, and represent fresh ideas or strategies. Projects should be unique, vibrant, exciting, and enhance the vision of Winston-Salem as the City of Arts and Innovation. The grant will support projects that are collaborative, address new concepts or methods, engage the community, use new technology and strive for diversity. Innovative Project Grants are partly supported by the North Carolina Arts Council with funding from the state of North Carolina and the National Endowment from the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.

The Advertising Assistance Program (AAP)

Is supported by 88.5 WFDD Radio, 90.5 WSNC Radio, The Winston-Salem Journal, The Winston- Salem Chronicle and The Pursuit of Happiness. This program provides cost-saving advertising dollars for local arts agencies promoting their organizations.  The program is available to member organizations of The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.
