City of the Arts Marketing

The final component of our campaign will raise money for the "City of the Arts" marketing campaign, a new initiative that over the next three years aims to raise the visibility of and participation in the arts and cultural organizations in our community. Working with various sectors of our community, The Arts Council will dedicate $1 million over three years to execute a marketing program that establishes Winston-Salem as a year-round arts destination. The goals of the program are to:
- Draw increased visibility to the arts and the city as a whole
- Generate greater attendance at events
- Demonstrate the increased economic impact of the arts on the city §
- Facilitate employer recruiting and retention efforts
Through these efforts, partnering arts and cultural organizations should witness increased funding and support for new arts initiatives that advance the city as a cultural destination. There is also a benchmark component to the marketing program that will track results over multiple years.
