An editorial in the September 6 issue of the Winston-Salem Journal praised the SMART grant recently received by The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County to study the feasibility of creating a theatre district in downtown Winston-Salem. The writer reported that “We could be building on our own success if the Arts Council … succeeds in creating a theatre district downtown.”
