Stock gifts are a wonderful and easy way to support The Arts Council. Not only is your donation of stock tax deductible, but you may also save on Capital Gains Tax when you donate stock, as opposed to selling it first and donating the proceeds. Consult with your financial advisor to see if donating stock is right for you and then contact Katrina Meeks at (336)722-2585, ext. 1104 for further information.

Calling all businesses and organizations! The Arts Council needs donated items that can be used as prizes and incentives in our annual fundraising campaign. These goods are tax deductible. Terri Dillion at (336)722-2585, ext. 1113 has more information.

Why Give?

The arts nourish our souls and are essential to the quality of our lives. Calling ourselves The City of Arts and Innovation speaks to our collective commitment and serves as a constant reminder that promoting the arts in our community requires a strong and continuing public-private partnership. The Arts Council believes the arts, in fact, are for everyone, beginning with our children and continuing throughout lifetimes.

The Arts Council raises funds for the arts, inspires vision, provides leadership, encourages arts education and supports artistic and cultural excellence that enriches our lives.

By contributing a gift of $1,000 or more, you will become a member of The Arts Council’s Renaissance Society. Members receive invitations to special events and their names are included in our annual report. Importantly, you have the satisfaction of knowing that you are a vital part of promoting and sustaining the arts in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.

The Renaissance Society recognizes the generosity of our donors and serves to deepen their emersion in the arts. In 2011, The Arts Council is introducing a new division of the Renaissance Society, the 1949 Society, which pays homage to the year in which The Arts Council was formed and the beginning of the arts council movement across the nation. As a member, you join hundreds of individuals throughout our community in support and celebration of the arts. Discover the Benefits
